Race Report, Targa 66 Meeting, Moroso Motorsports Park, West Palm Beach, Florida
February 27th – March 1st, 2009.
The Redmans have done it again, a wonderful weekend of mid-winter fast fun and frolic at the totally restored and updated Palm Beach International race facility. Great weather and a great group of friends along with all the uncomplicated track time any racer could want describe what they manage to achieve time and again perfectly.
The Redman family, Brian, James, Marion and Dawn offer us a format unique in the motorsports activity arena. Common sense and casual ambience rule vs. bureaucracy with hassle & hustle. Car control, track manners and judgment are the cornerstones vs. aggression and self interest. All have a great time, exercising self and machine at comfortable levels with lunches, dinners and a general joi’d’vive unique to the events these industrious Redmans run. Targa 66, have a look and take it from us; if it makes sense for you, we are sure you will not be disappointed.
Ah, an opportunity to get that winter mothballed racer or performance machine out and be sure last season’s bugs are expunged. It may be less involved than testing; just getting man and machine aligned and ready for the sunny side of 2009 is serious fun and addresses many an issue. What better way to counteract the financial and temperate woes of early 09. Get your Ya Ya’s out on track with friends so inclined. In the VRS pits we find:
